Blog Battle Topic for Week 12:What did you enjoy most about NDP @ Marina Bay 2007?
For this year's NDP , i love the part where St Joseph's Covent girls dance according to the tune. Seeing how they dance so gracefully and the costumes that they wear really give us hope and we can actual feel that we have a sense of belonging to Singapore when they sing "there's no place i had rather be"!They dance according to a theme"City of possibilites" which is Singapore's theme this year!It actual features that nothing is impossible and we can strive for our best to achieve for fruitful rewards!
The show comprises of Sea, Earth, Sky, People, Fire!The Sea segment portrays the discovery of the Singaporean identity as we mature from the early settlement days to modern Singapore. The Earth segment is an analogy of the preservation of Singapore as a garden city even as the country pursues technological advancements. The Sky segment depicts Singaporeans’ pursuit and realisation of their dreams and aspirations. The People segment pays tribute to the pioneers of Singapore while the Fire segment symbolises the passion in every Singaporean. This is a good way for singaporean to have the confidence and passion to achieve their best!
I really love this year's event and performances especially the helicopter flying low and we can see the strong wave and also the one with amazing illuminated zig zags trials done by the radio controlled lighted kites. The singing and performances done by singers and performancers were really great and i love the national day parade to be held at MARINA BAY as it has a sea that features The defence of singapore and holding the event on a floating platform which is unique and different from previous years!Of course, i love the Bright and colourful fireworks which are very very nice at the end of the show!!!
It is also proud to see singaporeans coming together as a whole to celebrate singapore's birthday and especially the smilies worn on everyone's faces!Thank you performancers and organisers for putting up a great parade for SINGAPORE'S 42TH BIRTHDAY!Thank you very very much!
